About Stella

Big city girl and community leader Stella Lillicrop was swept off her feet by a man with a dream to become a cowboy and transplanted to the middle of nowhere, into a life once unimaginable, where she embraced the challenges of operating a large cattle ranch and timber operation, while sowing the seeds of a new novel.

About Slash Pile

On a remote cattle ranch in Central Oregon, newlywed Reece Powell tackles the dangerous job of burning slash piles left behind by unscrupulous loggers. As she ignites the last pile, an unpredicted blizzard strikes. The wind shifts. As flames shoot into the sky, Reece makes out a body tucked underneath a giant burning log. She recognizes her husband’s boots.

She’s an outsider. Who will believe she didn’t drag him onto the pyre? Who can she trust with the truth? Not the crooked sheriff, or the locals who wanted them gone. Can she identify her husband’s killer before she becomes the next victim?

The struggle to find one’s voice is not pretty. It’s littered with sacrifice…”
